Our pilot trip is half way throughout the preparation program, exclusive to the group and therefore adjusted to its participants.
There are 3 major components:
1- Career day:
During this day, each participant meets individually with several professionals in his/her respective field in Israel. This is the first step of the professional file and in the career preparation. A Magshimim innovation, it serves several purposes:
Positioning: comparing your job and qualifications with that in Israel. Meeting people of your sector and positioning yourself with respect to that specific niche. It's a good occasion to ask all the important questions regarding salary, work environment, job demand, etc. This allows adjusting your career plans.
Contact: establishing and building up solid contacts. It is the moment to slip your business card and to build a serious support system.
Prospection: evaluating and discovering parallel domains where your qualifications might be better exploited.
2- Integration plan:
as said previously, an aliyah without surprises. During the pilot trip, the group visits in detail its integration site: the neighborhood, apartments, the ulpan, the city, Ben Gurion University…. You will also meet Magshimim alumnis from Canada and France who will share their experiences with you.
3- Information:
Conferences with official spokespeople of different administrations: ministry of integration, customs, social security, director of the bank, Jewish Agency.
